A Patient Under Investigation of Influenza A / H1N1 virus infection is defined as an:
a. Fever , AND
b. One or more of the following respiratory symptoms:
Cough, sore throat, body ache, difficulty in breathing, AND
c. One or more of the following: close contact with a person diagnosed as Influenza A/H1N1 OR within 7 days of travel to an area reporting cases of confirmed Influenza A / H1N1 (within 7 days of exposure / contact).

Pokok Ketum menjadi terkenal pada awal tahun 2003 kerana ia dikatakan berupaya menjadikan seseorang itu ketagihan kerana ia mengandungi mitraginin. Mitraginin telah disenaraikan dalam Third Schedule of Poisons (Psychotrapic Substance) Regulation 1989, Poison Ordinance 1952. Dengan itu pokok Ketum telah diisytiharkan sebagai bahan larangan mulai Januari 2003.

Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported yesterday that while the 30-year-old woman was performing oral sex on the man, the car was hit by a reversing van.
The impact of the crash, China Press reported, caused the woman to bite off her lover’s organ.
The daily reported that the incident occurred in a Singapore park where the couple met after work.
To make matters worse for the woman, her husband had sent a private investigator to spy on her after suspecting that she was being unfaithful.
The investigator said he had followed the woman and her boss to the park.
“On reaching the park, they did not alight from the car. Not long after, the car started to shake violently.
After the car was hit by the van, there was a loud scream from the woman whose mouth was covered with blood,” he said.

Scientists have snapped the first ever portrait of H1N1, the new swine flu virus that has swept the globe in recent weeks.
A virus cell (such as the H1N1 swine flu cells above) is made up of a core that contains genetic material, which is surrounded by a protein-filled coat that allows the virus to catch onto and invade target cells. Each cell measures about one-ten-thousandth of a millimeter wide.
The samples, obtained from an infected patient in California, were photographed on April 27, 2009, at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

As of May 4, 2009, 286 people have swine flu in the United States, according to the CDC. Twenty countries have seen nearly a thousand instances of swine flu, the World Health Organization reported. (See a map of swine flu's spread.)
The new virus is similar to flu viruses that normally occur in pigs in North America. But H1N1 has genes from European and Asian pigs, as well as from birds and humans, which makes the virus a very different organism, experts say.
No one knows how severe this virus will become, but so far in the U.S. most cases have been mild.
"It's a situation where we should be cautious but not panicky," Susan Rehm, medical director for the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, said on April 29.
"From what we understand so far, the severity doesn't seem to be much different than what it is in regular seasonal influenza."
